i purchased this radio flyer scooter for my nephew's third birthday, and he absolutely loves it! it's constructed of sturdy but lightweight plastic that can withstand the roughhousing play of a growing little boy. it really can handle a growing child that is learning to balance and coordinate hands and eyes, it is stable and provides support for holding and pushing with large, easy to grab parts. the bright, vivid color is what initially attracted me...i knew his mom would be able to keep an eye on him even at a distance because of the red color. the fact that it folds is another added benefit to this cute little item in addition to it's light weight and durability. the radio flyer name goes back many years and brings back fond memories...i'm happy that they're still going strong with building toys for little ones! i definitely recommend this as a first scooter, it doesn't get any better.
